Easton Lotus becomes 1st girl to earn spot with Prospects'
Easton Lotus (New Lenox) has become the first girl to earn on spot on a roster with the Lincoln-Way Prospects travel baseball organization. Easton attended the free workouts and both tryouts for the 2012 9U team, and was officially named to the roster on August 6th following an intent to commit issued on July 26th by Coach Korbel. We look forward to seeing Easton compete and contribute to her team! She'll wear jersey #12.

Jackson Ferree named 2012 9U Captain
Jackson started with the Prospects' as the first 7-year old to make the organization. Since then, he has earned the respect and contributed to each team he has played up for. He will take this experience and training and lead the 2012 9U squad as only the 2nd captain in team history. He joins Anthony Durling as the only players to have earned a "captain" status.

Jack Williams, named 2012 9U Assistant Manager
Coach Williams' is a Lincoln-Way Central graduate and has coached high school baseball at each level. He has been heavily involved with the Lemont park district, and brings ample knowledge and experience to our youngest squad. He was named to the staff in June, and will work closely with Coach Korbel, Head Coach for Prospects' baseball.

We would like to thank more than 88 players that attended one of our three free workouts, and our July 26th tryout. We would also like to thank more than 22 players that attended our private invitational workouts as we planned well for 2012 changes. Thank you, and we appreciate the kinds words for what we do. Best wishes to all players, everywhere.

Over the years, our elite off-field character and leadership philosophy provides DVD's for all players to keep after their life-lesson reports.
We have distributed 325 DVD's, 13 lessons including:
The following diagram represents an athlete as he begins to learn and understand, then improves,
has fun, and wants to learn more. In turn, the athlete is back to learning and understanding.
Coach Korbel believes this to be one of the most significant diagrams he has seen, for any age level.
